The Dome Chair in the Wild
Great furniture doesn't need a perfect studio setting to reveal its quality. The Pedrali Dome chair has been appearing in some of New Zealand's most dramatic natural environments — and in each one, it holds its own.
This particular outing featured the Dome in forest green — one of our favourite colourways — surrounded by an expanse of moss-covered terrain that matched the chair's colour almost exactly. The effect was both playful and genuinely beautiful: a piece of considered Italian design set against one of New Zealand's most verdant landscapes.
Why We Do These Shoots
Taking commercial furniture outside its typical context reveals something important about quality. A chair that looks impressive in a controlled studio setting looks different when it's placed in an honest, uncontrolled environment. The Pedrali Dome is a stackable, commercial-grade polypropylene chair available in indoor and outdoor-rated versions and a wide range of colour options. UV-stabilised and impact-resistant, it's equally at home in a school staff room, a corporate cafeteria, or an outdoor hospitality setting.
