New Laboratory Workstations at Canterbury University

This recent installation at the University of Canterbury's mechanical engineering laboratory delivered exactly that.

What We Installed

The laboratory workstation specification centred on heavy-duty bench surfaces with chemical-resistant laminates, supported by fully adjustable height systems that allow the benches to be set for different user heights and task requirements. The design had to accommodate both precision measurement work and heavier practical tasks, which required careful specification of both the surface material and the structural support system.

The installation was coordinated around the university's academic calendar to minimise disruption to the laboratory programme — a logistical consideration that's always central to education fit-out projects.
