The Challenge

Delivering a full furniture fitout for a 300-room student accommodation facility required a solution that balanced durability, cost-efficiency, and comfort at scale. The spaces needed to cater to a diverse student population, supporting everything from private study and rest to social interaction and community living.

Consistency across hundreds of rooms, alongside cohesive and functional shared spaces, was critical—while still creating an environment that felt warm, modern, and inviting rather than institutional.

The Solution

A carefully curated furniture package was implemented across both private and communal areas to ensure consistency, longevity, and ease of maintenance. Bedrooms were fitted with compact, highly functional furniture including integrated study desks, storage, and wardrobes—maximising usability within a limited footprint.

Shared spaces were designed to foster connection and flexibility. A mix of soft seating, booth seating, and café-style settings supports a variety of activities, from casual study to social gatherings. Warm tones, natural timber finishes, and textured fabrics were used throughout to create a cohesive and welcoming environment.

Robust materials and commercial-grade finishes ensure the furniture withstands high use, while thoughtful layouts encourage flow and usability across all areas.

The Outcome

The completed accommodation delivers a cohesive, high-quality living environment that supports both independent and communal student life. Residents benefit from well-considered private spaces alongside vibrant shared areas that encourage connection and engagement.
