The Challenge

The Stockman Group required flexible, modern workspaces across multiple buildings—Ruby Black, Cotters, and Duncans—that could appeal to a wide range of tenants. Each space needed to feel cohesive yet adaptable, supporting different working styles from focused individual work to collaborative team environments.

A key challenge was creating environments that balanced durability and functionality with a sense of identity and warmth, ensuring the spaces stood out in a competitive leasing market while remaining versatile enough for varied occupants.

The Solution

The design approach focused on clean, contemporary interiors with a strong, consistent material palette applied across all sites. Timber accents and slatted wall features introduce warmth and texture, while darker joinery and furniture provide contrast and durability.

Workspaces were configured to maximise flexibility—open-plan desking, private offices, and meeting rooms allow tenants to adapt the space to their needs. Carefully selected furniture enhances both comfort and practicality, with robust finishes suited to high turnover environments.

Breakout and informal meeting areas were integrated to support collaboration, while maintaining a professional, streamlined aesthetic throughout each building. Natural light and simple, refined detailing ensure the spaces feel open, functional, and easy to occupy.

The result is a collection of high-quality, flexible workspaces that cater to a diverse tenant base. Each building offers a consistent experience while allowing for individual tenancy customisation, making the spaces highly marketable and easy to lease.
