The Chester sofa is a contemporary, slim-line sofa with a nod to the retro aesthetic of the 1950s.
Chester is inspired by and named after designer Garth Chester (1916-1968), considered by many to be New Zealand’s answer to Ray and Charles Eames. Chester, who pioneered the use of bent plywood, was most prolific during the 1950s – 60s and is best known for his iconic Curvesse Chair, a highly covetable piece of mid-century design.
Featuring tapered wooden legs in a natural or dark stain and a fixed back with button detail, the standard Chester is upholstered in Warwick’s Dolly range and is available in 11 stylish colours.
Designed and made in New Zealand.
